Traditional art: Painting & Charcoal

I recently gained an interest in paintings, oil and water-colours well as charcoal and have watched many videos online, I have tried to use techniques from these mediums, watercolours and charcoal in my personal work. Watching videos of oil painting has increased my understanding of how to layout everything on the page and given me a greater understanding of layers, textures and shadows.

Here is my favourite oil painting artist on youtube.

And some charcoal drawings. Shading is my favourite thing in art and charcoal art really shows it off.

This artist also does some really amazing portrait oil paintings of people.

Watercolours are also something that amazes me, with the way the colours work with water and how delicate it all is.
